DIY Oven Cupcake Gift Box

At first glance, this little oven box appears unassuming, but there's a party happening on the inside!  This little oven cupcake box is now even easier to make with my FREE oven cupcake box cut file created especially for you!

DIY Oven Cupcake Gift Box

DIY Oven Cupcake box with FREE cut file. So cute!

Looks delish!  Use a piece of patterned cardstock to cut the oven box to reveal a fun surprise when the box is opened.  The updated cut file includes a cupcake holder so the cupcake won't slide around in the box.

I used one 12"x12" sheet of patterned cardstock, scored it, cut it, and turned it into a box.  I wanted the oven to be white, so I folded the print to the inside.  I cut out a window and added cellophane to create the oven glass.  The box measures 3"x3"x3" (not including the control panel) which is the perfect size for a gourmet cupcake.

The control panel is made with 4 small brads and a custom Epiphany Crafts brad and Round 14 bubble cap.  You can download a FREE mini clock printable available on my Freebies tab.  You can punch the mini clocks with a standard 1/2" or 3/4" circle punch and they look just fabulous on their own.

The stove burners are made with Epiphany Crafts Button Studio Tool Round 20 and buttons.  Each burner sits on top of a 1" gray circle.

While this gift box is all dolled up for a birthday, you could just as easily turn it into a "Bun in the Oven" gift for someone who is expecting a baby. :)  Or, for those of you with young children, it could also be a play oven.  The tea kettle fits on the stovetop quite nicely!

Lastly, here is a photo of what the box looked like before I put it all together.  I had to add one extra tab to the top of the oven door.  (Click HERE for a more detailed tutorial on how to make the oven box.)
