DIY Mini Wreath Piñatas

Mini piñatas?  Yes, please!  I just about wet myself (Just kidding. Maybe.) when I saw that We R Memory Keepers was releasing DIY mini piñata kits.  I got a chance to play with the circle piñata kit and, with the holidays in mind, thought I would alter the boxes a bit to create DIY Mini Wreath Piñatas.

DIY Crepe Paper Poinsettia

I love making paper flowers! I have been a huge fan of crepe paper flowers for the longest time, but only recently started making my own flowers and patterns.  I am super excited to share my first DIY crepe paper poinsettia pattern with you today!

Luxurious, easy to work with, and hard to wreck, crepe paper is the ideal medium for making paper flowers and plants.  It stretches and bends in ways that make leaves and petals look extra lifelike.  This DIY Crepe Paper Poinsettia plant will make your home come alive at the holidays for years to come.

Mini Embroidery Hoop Wreath Ornaments

I love making handmade Christmas ornaments.  I look forward to adding to our collection each year.  Embroidery hoop ornaments are my favorite type of ornament to make because they just ooze handmade charm (in a good way).  My Christmas tree may not be color coordinated or matchy-matchy, but it sure does bring back a lot of sweet Christmas memories.

Stamp a Scene with Paper Piecing

Even with the start of school this week, I am still dreaming of a relaxing tropical vacation.  Sigh.  Since a trip to far off isles isn't in my near future, I'll keep living vicariously through card making for now.

Monkey Thanks a Bunch Banana Gift Tag

I craft a good game, but I am a gift giving slacker.  I have so much fun putting together fun paper-crafted gift ideas, but they rarely leave my craft room.  I think I have finally come up with a simple gift idea that requires minimum effort.  Have a look...

Watermelon Clock Hack

There is nothing quite as iconic as watermelon in summer.  This colorful, round, juicy fruit is so fun and pretty it practically begs to be turned into all types of crafts, even a clock.  A watermelon clock?  Who knew?!

Bright Paper Pineapple Boxes

I have officially fallen in love with the pineapple trend.  While I don't yet own any t-shirts or shoes embellished with pineapples, I sure do think they are charming.  A couple of weeks ago I saw this pineapple box Silhouette cut file over on Amy Robison Designs IG feed and I was just giddy.

Amanda Coleman Designs FTC Disclosure

I have known about the WRMK Fuse tool for some time now and was fascinated by how easy it made it to customize pocket scrapbooking.  But alas, I don't scrapbook.  Not even one little bit.  I was so excited when WRMK came out with a Fuse Kit that had all kinds of fusible papers (FUSIBLE PAPERS!!!) and card making embellishments.  I was hooked the minute I tried it.  Check it out...

Inspired by Kids' Art: Up Movie Cards Two Ways

Does kids' art ever inspire you?  Kids' artwork can easily be used as inspiration for other creative projects.  My 8 year-old daughter loves to draw and create and I often find myself inspired by her creations.  Just the other day she drew and stamped a picture for me based on the movie Up.  It was quite charming and inspiring.  Take a look...

Easy Gelato Watercolor Cards

Are you intimidated by watercolors like me?  I love the free-spiritedness (if that's even a word) that watercolors give to a project, but let's face it, most of the time I use them they just turn out like watery blobs.  Rather than fretting over my lack of watercolor technique, I decided to embrace the watery blobs and turn them into a clean and simple card.

Personalized Teacher Appreciation Keepsake Book

It's time.  Time to thank your child's teacher that sits in a room full of restless, ungrateful children day after day.  Time to thank the teacher for putting up with know-it-all parents all year long.  You know what I mean.

3D Paper Diamond Décor

It has long been said that diamonds are a girl's best friend.  And although I'm not much of a bling girl myself, I do find myself smitten by diamonds.  Exquisite and timeless, diamonds can add sparkle and sophistication to home décor.

Valentine's Day Cookie Treat Bags and Chalkboard Heart Banner

Ahhh, Valentine's Day.  I love another excuse to bake and decorate.  This year the folks at Target were generous enough to share some of their fab One Spot Valentine's day goodies with me to help make my home and baked goods look lovely.  With a few crafty basics, I was able to create sweet and simple Valentine's Day cookie treat bags and a chalkboard heart banner.
